Dear K.Aree,
I would like to ask for your advice how to apply a job and make it interesting. I am a hard working person with background of export and import for about 7 years. I resigned from my job in Nov 2007.
But I find the age discrimation of many companies.
While I am 42 years, there seems little chance for people at my age. Additioally, I am learning how to write the good and clear resume. Sometimes I felt it is such as a good resume. Later on, I read it again, it was so poor. Do you have any suggestion for me?
Thanks for your kind sugggetion in advance.
Best Regards,
Deela Judee

Age does have some problem in getting a job when you apply for junior position because you are competing with the young bloods with overqualification. The better way is try to apply for the right position. I believe that 42 years old still have good chance for career development because normally people retire from work at the age of 55-60 not 42. So don't give up it's the matter of selection if you understand how the recruiter selects their candidates then you should adjust to the employment market suitably. Review your resume to make it more attractive for example, instead of stating your age from the beginning you should put it at the back of resume but bring your years of experience to highlight your profile at the beginning etc.
Good luck and don't give up.
